"Imperfect flowers have an individuality and fragility lost in an age of mass-cultivated hybrids.” - Nigel Warburton

HackelBury Fine Art presents Stephen Inggs - Legacy, an exhibition which includes the most recent flower photographs from Inggs' studio. This body of work consists of powerful yet delicate large scale photographs, each one hand-coated with silver gelatin emulsion onto 100% rag paper. Inggs' objects permit a sense of nostalgia: the handmade, tactile process is used deliberately to underline the references to history, transience and the overlooked object. Stephen Inggs is Professor of Printmaking at the Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town. He has exhibited widely internationally and is included in private and corporate collections worldwide.
