Join us as we launch NAE's very first Open exhibition, presenting the work of over 50 local and national artists selected by a panel of judges. Artwork ranges across media from painting to sculpture, and photography to installation.

Be the first to view the work, cast your vote for the Public Choice Prize, receive a free drink on arrival, plus a DJ set by Omar Sultani. And why not try something tasty to eat in our CaféBar? We'll have a special Samosa Chaat available to purchase from 6pm.

There will also be a unique opportunity to experience two Live Art pieces selected by the NAE Open judging panel:

Ghungaroo Vadan by Ankita Anand

Ghungaroo Vadan is an experimental performance using ghungaroos and OSC messages sent from mobile phone to MAX/MSP. It explores the overlapping spaces between spirituality and technology through combining Indian classical dance elements and technological embodiment.

Uro by Vivian Chinasa Ezugha

Uro is about the idea of dying and rebirth, depression and awaking. In this durational performance, the artist interacts with clay and water on her body. The weight of the clay becomes a force that she works with and against over the hours of the performance. Sitting on the skin as a weighty, damp material, it becomes a solid foundation and morphs the body.
