#texture - a painterly exploration of floral and urban surfaces

This exhibition has been inspired by the study of surface and shape both natural and manmade; to observe harmonies, atmosphere, chaos and order and to visually express it in a series of paintings that are, above all, textural.

By combining colour, marks and pattern in a kind of observational abstraction, Richard Knight invites a dialogue with the viewer, to recognise and enjoy these interpretations of the familiar.

Travels to New York, working in London and walking the dogs in Surrey have been his inspiration.
