˃frenchartstudio is delighted to present an exhibition by Gwenaël Salaün, recording the story of urban culture by mixing iconic images, symbols and clips in an unexpected manner.
White planes are interrupted by colours like sound breaking silence. In a dreamlike world of constant motion, images of hooded men are overlaid and suffused with skeletons, rappers, ghost-like figures, stray dogs and alluring women. His paintings are powerful symbols with multi-layered readings.
Gwenaël Salaün lives and works in Morlaix in Brittany. Over the last 20 years, his art has been exhibited in galleries in France, Belgium and Dubai.
