Passion for Freedom’s first international art competition and exhibition took place in 2009 in London. Over the years, we have displayed more than 600 artworks from 55 countries, including China, Iran and Venezuela, and the exhibitions have been viewed by 15,000 people.
We have successfully raised awareness and stimulated debate and reflection about human rights and individual freedoms. Ai Weiwei, Sarah Maple, Jafar Panahi, Firoozeh Bazrafkan, Daniel Arzola, Mehdi-Georges Lahlou, Miriam Elia and Maja Wolna are among the many stories about artists who have showed at the festival.
