Scottish artist Dr John Lowrie Morrison OBE or ‘Jolomo’ as he has become known has a unique perspective on the beauty of his native land and concentrates the colours of the Scottish landscape through his very individual expressionist style. Vibrant colour pervades his work with a unique jewel like quality reflecting the special light of the west coast of Scotland.

John Lowrie Morrison OBE who lives and works on the west coast of Scotland has an uncanny ability to reflect his feelings in a painting, he sees colours in the landscape that most people just do not notice. He will get down low to the ground in order to view the entire scope of the landscape and incorporate this concentration of colour in his work.

Presented by Corrymella Scott Gallery, the latest John Lowrie Morrison Exhibition ‘A Journey from Argyll to the Hebrides’ features 55 paintings of locations including Isles of Colonsay, Mull, Tiree, Benbecula, Gigha, South Uist and Iona. All paintings are available to view and purchase online now.

The artist will donate a percentage of the proceeds from this exhibition to Carers Trust.
