Raphael Mazzucco is one of the world’s most influential and talented fashion photographers and contemporary artists, critically acclaimed for his singular eye and captivating aesthetic. After years spent honing his craft in Italy, France and Amsterdam, his arrival in New York City garnered attention from the fashion elite. Having previously created iconic commercial imagery for the likes of Victoria’s Secret, Guess Jeans, L’Oreal and Ralph Lauren, Raphael has now turned his talents towards a self directed project, creating a new collection of fine art pieces which open doors to enticing ethereal worlds full of beauty and spectacle. Raphael’s visual narratives celebrate the female form, capturing the naked bodies of the world’s most beautiful women against startling backdrops, from Icelandic glaciers to African wildlife, the outback of Western Australia to Vietnamese rice paddies. Raphael incorporates his photographs into layered narratives of paint, collage, and hand-written texts, all set under a thick layer of tactile resin. These artworks articulate through reinvention, and we journey alongside Raphael through terrains both geographic and emotional. A Private View for this exhibition will be held on Thursday 12th June from 6pm – 9pm. If you would like to attend the event please RSVP to [email protected].
